| Divewise's newest course director - Monday, August 30, 2010CONGRATULATIONS!!
Here at divewise we are proud to say that as a PADI 5 star Instructor Deveopment Center we offer the best training possible. Thats from teaching first time divers all the way up to teaching Instructors. And now we are able to say we have not just one but two very skilled course directors here ready and able to hold an IDC twice a year and train the new and up coming diving instructors of the world. Neville McLellan has just spent the past two weeks missing Malta while in the Dominican Republic going through his course directors training which has been successfully completed! A very hard two weeks full of classroom sessions, presentations and skill circuits but his report back is very positive and is taking his new role very seriously and is looking forward to the next lot of instructors ready to be molded! |

Beach Clean Up
Divewise and The Westin Resort have organised a beach and reef clean up this Sunday afternoon to protect our house reef and rid it of anything that shouldn't be there. We want only fish and divers, No Rubbish!!
We call upon frequent divers, qualified divers and any holiday makers who feel passionately about the current condition of our local waters. As divers we all share a respect and love for the water but unfortunately this respect is not shown by everyone so we are taking time out to start making a difference. Bring along your certification cards and tank and gear will be provided. Any assistance is highly appreciated and we all want to see our aquatic environment improve! Let’s make our local little creatures clean and happy!

Missing divers- Last seen sneaking into a Peugot 307 with dive gear in the back on the way to Um El Faroud
Two of our hardworking bosses finally got the chance to escape the office for an afternoon and take a break with a pleasure dive at one of Maltas most famous wrecks The Um El Faroud. Seldomly the backbone of divewise, Vivienne and Alan, get a chance to leave the office where their hard work keeps us going all year round. The first dive for Viv since February was said to be great with fantastic visability and they had the entire wreck to themselves.
The summer is looking busier by the day so fingers crossed they get another pleasure dive before winter sets in and dry suits are needed!

Every year PADI release the figures for the previous year... to help dive centres to evaluate what they are doing. In 2007 Divewise was 2nd overall in Malta.
In 2008 we achieved the overall Number 1 rating for Malta.

Divewise is the centre of excellence for scuba diving in Malta, Comino and Gozo. We are also the premier PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre in Malta. We have a shop to cater for your equipment needs, and a fully functional gas blending station offering air, nitrox and trimix gas fills. We have a pool for confined training and our own house reef. We run courses and pleasure diving all over the island, including shore diving and boat diving on scenic and wreck diving sites.

40 Years of Divewise
Come this september we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Divewise. A good 40 years of teaching, training, developing and introducing scuba divers to these beautiful Maltese waters. Over these years we grow to see familiar faces who return year after year and we pride ourselves in providing a service that people enjoy so much that they recommend others and come back to visit. Starting as a family business by Vince Milton then passing it down to his son Patrick until a few years ago it was taken over by Viv and Alan Whitehead and Neville McLellan. We still have the family feel here within the close staff and frequent divers. Come and be part of this monumental year and stick around for the next 40 successful years!
